The Maintenance Charge is a monthly payment made that also covers hosting. It has several
limitations however. These limitations are described as follows:
Content changes can only occur once a month. Additional changes are charged
at the standard £45 an hour rate.
Changes can only take up to thirty minutes (or three hours in the Full Maintenance package)
of time. If they exceed this the charge is £45 an hour.
Database assistance is not offered as part of the maintenance packages.
Maintenance is intentionally limited as the majority of maintenance goes to making the server
fast and performant.
Performance is important for both our clients and us and we do everything we
can possibly do to make it as good as possible. However, from time to time,
our servers will get swamped by requests or a hard drive may fail or a power
outage may occur for a long period of time. As a result pages can load slowly,
files can become corrupted or connections to the site may be unreliable. We hope
you understand that with any online system, especially one that handles 1,000 of
requests each hour, is prone to some sorts of failures on occasion.
